Visit to Bletchley Park

Seven of us had a fascinating day at Bletchley Park, the home of British code-breaking during World War II and the setting for the film The Imitation Game. We experienced what life must have been like working in the recently restored atmospheric huts where we ‘met’ some of the people who worked there in the exhibits. A highlight was actually seeing the enigma code-breaking Turing-Welchman Bombe machine and learning about how it worked – though hard to understand all !  A great day out, organised by one of our members – thank you, Gill.
