On Sunday June 5th a small group of WI members ventured to Iffley where seven gardens were open under the NGS scheme. We were fortunate in being able to park near a friend’s house and together we set off to visit the gardens one by one. None of them were completely flat and three backed onto the river. They were filled with beautiful plants and had dealt with the slopes in very interesting ways. It was a lovely day and there were splendid views of the meadows. There were reasonably priced plants for sale at one garden and teas and cake in the village hall.
