It turned out that we had a really lovely afternoon at Chenies Court. We were very lucky with the weather as it was not only dry but sunny off and on! The tulips were absolutely amazing – masses and masses of them and all the colours and shapes of the rainbow. The house also looked very interesting – a large, attractive, Tudor mansion. We did not have time to go inside, but perhaps another time – I am told the gardens are equally beautiful in the summer.
