Odney Club in Cookham

Six of us enjoyed a sunny afternoon strolling around the extensive  grounds of the Odney Club in Cookham.  Whilst the planting was rather disappointing  – one, admittedly splendid, tulip border and a long herbaceous border with not a single flower  in bloom! – there were a great many fabulous specimen trees and a very pleasant water garden area.   There were plenty of benches scattered around and so we were able to bask in the sun and survey the peaceful scene at leisure.  Tea and cakes rounded the afternoon off well.
