Garden visit to Meadow Cottage, Christmas Common

On a rather grey Bank Holidy Monday 6 WI members ventured to the ridge above Watlington to visit the bluebells.

We were greeted with a substantial plant sale in which some of us indulged! Then walking in front of a wonderful barn we reached the bluebell wood – it was wonderful.

Moving round the tennis court we found a path up and over a mound leading to the beautifully kept vegetable patch.

All rounded off with tea and a lovely cake. Pity it was chilly but well worth a visit.
