Christmas evening at the Red Lion

The evening started with Santa on his sleigh just leaving the pub as we arrived. Glass of wine in hand we moved to the tables. Helen briefly announced there was no business and a cheer went up.

Our food choices were on brightly coloured stars – colour co-ordinated so staff knew what main course to serve. (Excellent idea Helen).

After the main course one line swapped with the other table and we opened our Secret Santa presents. Such a lot of ingenuity!

The food was lovely and when Charlie the chef put his head out of the kitchen he was greeted with a round of applause.

A wonderful evening was had by all.
