NFWI Resolutions past and present

Each year the annual meeting of National Federation of WI’s votes on Resolutions. Sometimes more than one is accepted.

Resolutions for the recent past include:

2017 – End Plastic Soup

          – Alleviate Loneliness

2016 – Avoid Food Waste, Address Food Poverty

2015 – no decision

2014 – Increasing Organ Donation

2013 – Decline or our High Streets and Town Centres

2012 – Employment of more Midwives

2011 – Closure of Local Libraries

2010 – Clear and Mandatory labelling of Country of Origin on all meat, fish & poultry

2009 – SOS for Bees

2008 – Inappropriate imprisoning of the severely mentally ill

2007 – Stop closure of Community Hospitals

2006 – Renewable Energy for new builds and renovations

            – Sport for a healthy population

2005 – Care of our Environment – reduce waste, packaging & transport of foodstuffs

           – Farmgate milk prices

2004 – Genetically Modified foods

           – Trafficking of human beings

2003 – Childrens Diet and Exercise
